What am I doing to drive traffic to my blog? One of the best tips I got was to add a link to my site to the Wikipedia. I don’t recommend that you run a link spam campaign, but if you provide something that is relevant to the Wikipedia entry why not list your self as a related link?

You can also use social networking sites to increase your site visitors. Put out a MySpace bulletin and have them pass it on. You should never underestimate the power of word of mouth. This is of course if you have something good on your site for them to talk about.

I’m not the kind of person who likes to toot my own horn. I do recommend that you look into using sites such as Digg to raise awareness to your site. You should try to do this early on, this way you can attract a few critics. Don’t think of this as a negative. You need some negative feedback to allow you to become more critical of your own work.
