Hi, this is my first post to OSDCM. For the record I have not yet attained dot com mogul status. I, like most of the world, work at job. The reason I created this site is because I have a burning passion for Open Source Software. Not to mention a desire to make some money from it. Over the past few months I have watched people like John Chow and Shoe Money cash in using different methods. One thing I didn’t see was a site that could take a noob like me, and teach them how to get a piece of this action. So I decided that I would be the one to create a site that caters to Open Source Software, and teaches the readers exactly how to setup a revenue generating blog.
My goals will be to post my hits and how much I am making from this site on a monthly basis. I will post at least three times per week. In the posts I will discuss the tools I use, and how you the readers can do the same.

One thing I have found out about using Open Source Software is you have to do a lot of digging to find that one post that is exactly the answer you are looking for. My goal for this site is to make it into a portal with posts based on tested solutions. I think Zig Ziglar said it best “ If you can help enough people get what they want, then you will get what you want”, and I want to be an Open Source Dot Com Mogul!
